Do you make invitations and paperie for weddings only?

We make paperie for all events, including bridal and baby showers, birthday and anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, quinceneras, retirements, bar/bat mitzvahs, etc. If you are hosting an event not listed here, we encourage you to contact us anyway…chances are that we can make paperie for you!

Do you accept orders for same-sex weddings?

Our individualized process encourages the design of pieces that convey the unique personality and identity each couple, including such elements as race, nationality, and sexual orientation. We therefore happily welcome orders from same-sex couples.

Do you offer bilingual or non-english services?

We are happy to work on projects where a language other than English is used, provided that the customer can provide text for any/all pieces in that language, as we are unable to provide translation services at this time. Additionally, we require that all communication be conducted in English, either by the customer or through an English-speaking person of their choosing.

Where do I choose a design for my paperie order?

We create original designs for most of our customers, so, unlike most other vendors, we do not have a traditional catalogue of designs to choose from. We do, however, have a number of design samples and ideas in our gallery and in our Etsy shop. For more information about our custom design process, click here.

Can I order a paperie design already shown in the gallery instead of a new, original design?

We strive to give each customer exactly what they have pictured for their event or special occasion, so, yes, you can use one of our design samples for your paperie design. Customers should be aware, however, that there is no discount for purchasing an existing design, as these layouts still have to be manipulated to accommodate the customer's specific text and event details.

Does it cost more for an original/custom design?

No. The cost of creating an original design is built into the pricing for all of our paperie items.

I can't find pricing for your paperie items…how do I know what my invitations/paperie will cost?

Most of our paperie prices are calculated using a detailed formula that combines per-piece material charges, incremented labor charges, and fixed fees. This allows us to give you a much more accurate and less wasteful price for our items, but also means that prices will vary according to quantity, complexity, and materials. We recommend that all customers schedule a free, no-obligations consultation or contact us for pricing; once we have discussed the specific elements and pieces that you are looking for, we will provide you with a detailed quote for the suite.

How do you accommodate customers who have a strict budget?

We understand the importance of managing your funds when planning an event and will happily work with you to plan out a format that fits the budget you've set aside. We do this by helping you to choose lower cost options and less intensive labor and by prioritizing what elements, if any, that you'd like to spend extra on. In many cases, we can accommodate invitation budgets as low as $1.50 per piece (depending on quantity).

While we do our best to give you the suite you're looking for while staying within your budget, we ask that customers be realistic during the planning process. For instance, if you have a budget of $2 per invitation, but an inspiration piece featuring glitter matte layers, metallic hand-embellishments, four enclosure cards, and a custom die-cut sash for a total cost of $28 per invitation, some compromises will need to be made. We'll likely recommend some lower-cost alternatives that mimic the desired appearance, in this case printing a faux glitter texture instead of adding a layer of glitter stock, and substituting a decorative or shimmer paper sash instead of one with much more costly custom die-cutting. If you really, really want those metallic embellishments, then we might recommend that you cut out two of the more unnecessary enclosure cards to make some room in your budget. In the end, you will have the closest approximation of the inspiration piece that can be managed within your budget.

Do you offer any discounts for large quantities, military members/veterans, etc.?

Part of what makes our custom paperie so affordable is the fact that we keep our markup low and forward material savings on to you, the customer; because our costs are so low to begin with, we do not offer any additional discounts on our paperie items. In cases where a large number of pieces are being ordered, any bulk discounts we receive from our vendors are passed on to the customer and included in the pricing that we provide. Additionally, while we do not have a set bulk discount, all of our per-piece prices decrease as the quantity goes up because of the mixture of flat and per-piece fees that comprise our totals.
